Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
Welcome to Term 4. As we begin the final stage of the academic year, it is important that we focus on finishing strongly. This is a time for determination, reflection and purposeful action. We encourage all students to take full advantage of the many opportunities available to support their learning and development. Whether through tutorials, teacher guidance, peer collaboration or independent study, support is always available, and we urge students to seek it out proactively.
Last term was exceptionally busy and highly productive. Across the school we saw outstanding examples of student agency, creativity and resilience, from exhibitions and student-led conferences to major events and community activities. These experiences reflect our mission and vision in action, as students continue to grow as confident, capable and principled learners.
During the break it was lovely to get the news that three of our students SHAYN BUDIHARDJO, TIFFANY EKOHARSONO and IVANDER SIMANJUNTAK have secured certificates of Distinction in the Canadian Computing Competition and the rest have performed well to obtain a certificate of participation. The whole ICT/Technology/Computational Thinking is really progressing well and this I believe is the harbinger of future success and growth.
The term ahead promises to be equally dynamic. We have a full calendar that includes ten major sporting tournaments, the globally recognised World Scholar’s Cup, and, of course, final examinations and summative assessments across multiple year levels. There are many other activities such as the G10 work experience week too. We also have a range of prizegiving events for academic and sporting achievements, graduation ceremonies and completion events. These opportunities provide important platforms for students to demonstrate their learning, challenge themselves, and continue to grow both academically and personally.
With such a busy period ahead, it is essential that students remain organised, balanced and focused. Just as importantly, they should remember that they are not alone in this journey. Our teachers and support systems are here to guide, encourage and assist every step of the way. Asking for help is a strength, and it is through collaboration and perseverance that students achieve their best outcomes.
We are confident that, by working together and maintaining a positive mindset, this final term will be one of achievement and fulfilment. Let us embrace the opportunities ahead and continue to strive for excellence in all that we do.
Have a great week!
Martin Blackburn
