“I would recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others. Sekolah Ciputra provides students with excellent opportunities to build a bright future ahead.”
I PUTU JOSANDA PUTRA WENA
GRADUATED: 2021
1. How long were you in Sekolah Ciputra? Starting from what grade until what grade?
I began studying at Sekolah Ciputra in 2006 at the age of 3 and graduated in 2021. This means I spent 15 years pursuing my education at Sekolah Ciputra.
2. After graduating from Sekolah Ciputra, where do you study? What is your major?
Universitas Ciputra – Major in Visual Communication Design.
3. What did you do after graduating from university?
After graduating, I looked for opportunities to develop my skills within and also outside my passion. Besides freelancing, I applied to be a learner at Apple Developer Academy, as it provides one of the best facilities to learn, explore, and collaborate with competent individuals. Who would have thought, a person who is driven by photography and videography would learn how to develop an application in the Apple ecosystem.
4. What is your current occupation?
I’m an iOS developer at the Apple Developer Academy.
5. In what way did Sekolah Ciputra contribute to your job right now?
Sekolah Ciputra to me is always more than a school, it is my second home. As cheesy as it sounds, considering I spent 15 years there, I essentially learned everything I needed for life at Sekolah Ciputra. It is not about math, physics, biology, or all those subjects I needed to pass, but about the skills and lessons I gained. Critical thinking and showing empathy are those that I believe contributed the most. The Apple Developer Academy requires extensive collaborative skills since we are constantly working as a team. The IB learner profiles also guided and shaped me to be a principled, caring, and an open-minded learner, which I am sure will not only be applied in the place I am currently learning at, but anywhere I go.
6. What was the best thing about Sekolah Ciputra? Tell us something memorable from your time at Sekolah Ciputra
Sekolah Ciputra has everything to facilitate a learner to explore their interests. The most memorable thing for me was discovering my passion for photography and videography at Sekolah Ciputra. I met students and teachers who showed the same passion, participated as a publication and documentation team on big events such as World Scholar’s Cup and Model United Nations, becoming an OSIS publication coordinator, and made annual recap videos for my year level. I have lost count of how many videos I made for Sekolah Ciputra. I even tried out to become a cast member for the 2021 school production, “Jaka Tarub”. That is one truly memorable moment I will never forget.
7. What advice would you give to a graduating student?
School is always the best place and time to find your passion. Aim for that, and as my former grade level manager always told me, “keep on sharpening your skills”. Because in this rapidly growing world, self development is a must so that we are prepared to deal with the real world in the future.
8. Would you recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others? If yes, what would you say about it?
Absolutely, I would recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others. Sekolah Ciputra provides students with excellent opportunities to build a bright future ahead. The IB curriculum teaches us to learn not only for school, but for life. Besides the curriculum, Sekolah Ciputra also offers high-quality facilities for students to learn, explore, and collaborate.
9. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love listening to music, watching movies and documentaries. I also like to play football and I sometimes swim.
