Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
We’ve had a lively start to the new term with a strong sense of energy across the school. It’s wonderful to see our students returning from the break, refreshed and ready to learn.
Last week, our campus was buzzing with excitement as we hosted the PYP football tournament. It was a fantastic opportunity for our younger students to develop their teamwork skills and showcase their sporting spirit against visiting teams from across the region. Congratulations to all participants and a big thank you to the staff who supported the event so enthusiastically.
We also held a parent coffee afternoon in the high school. These informal gatherings are a valuable way for us to strengthen our partnership with families and keep open lines of communication around student progress and wellbeing. The central topic was the appropriate use of artificial intelligence within the school- a very topical issue!
Grade 6 students completed their annual mangrove outing where they were able to observe conservation efforts of this important maritime ecosystem.
Looking ahead, we are entering an important period in the academic calendar. Our Grade 12 students are about to complete their final week of classes before they begin their study leave for the IBDP examinations. We wish them all the best—they have worked with commitment and resilience, embodying the IB learner profile attributes of being reflective, knowledgeable and principled. At the same time, Grade 9 students will begin their exams, and elementary students will sit their PAIS and PAT assessments. We encourage all students to prepare well and ask for support when needed.
On the 21st we will also mark Kartini Day, a moment to reflect on the importance of education, empowerment and opportunity for women and girls. In line with our school mission to develop principled, open-minded individuals who contribute meaningfully to their communities, we are proud to celebrate R.A. Kartini’s legacy and continue her vision for equality.
Have a great week.
