Dear Parents,
As promised this letter is being sent to confirm details of the online learning process that will be undertaken by the school which will not be open for students until the 29th March. Please note in the first instance that this situation is a rapidly changing one and it is likely that there will be further changes in the week ahead.
Both units already sent letters out to you outlining in detail the expectations for online learning. These already placed on the school website. These plans are well detailed and provide good information for you to support your children in their learning.
I along with other school leaders will be onsite in the school and are available for meetings (with appropriate social distancing) if you have concerns that need to be addressed face to face. We will continue to monitor the situation, cooperate with instructions from the government ministries and do our best to maintain the high standards that Sekolah Ciputra is so well regarded for.
We would also encourage you to support the concept of social distancing with your children. The school and Indonesia is taking these steps to counter a significant threat. Please discourage your children from going to places like malls or parties etc. where there is a higher risk of community transmission. This is not an extended holiday.
Lastly please stay calm yet alert. This will pass and is a test of the type of community we are. I know that we are supportive and resilient and will do our best to help everyone to navigate this difficult time. You will receive an update from me during the week including information on examinations as this comes to hand.

Yours faithfully,

Martin Blackburn
Executive Principal
