Dear students, staff, parents, alumni and the whole Sekolah Ciputra community,
Welcome back to the start of term 2. This is the time when our grade 12 students really have to roll up their sleeves and focus on the job at hand. It is their last term before their mock exams and very close to their finals. Every little piece of effort helps. We will continue to support and guide them on their journey.
Congratulations to the team who put out the Ciputra Times. Their most recent publication was outstanding and represents a lot of hard work and dedication. It is marvellous to see the active student voice in the school. Speaking of student voice, thank you to all the students (and parents) who took part in our latest WASC consultation. Your contribution was invaluable. Thank you also to the captain and vice captains of OSIS and StuCo who contribute so actively to our senior leadership meetings. I believe that we are unique in the practical day to day voice we give the students in the running of the school.
It is nice that during the holiday break several of our building projects have moved along. The four extra classrooms in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship building are very welcome. We are also looking forward to the delivery of the elevators which will not only improve access and equity in the school but also give us back the use of six classrooms.
Today we are proud to host the UK Higher Education Fair for grade 9-12 students. We have many upcoming events to help students with their option choices. Parents also please look out for the continuum workshop on resilience which will be very useful.
Next week we celebrate World Failure Day. We do this because it is important to embrace the idea of risk taking, of trying to overcome difficulties, of learning from our mistakes and becoming better, more well-rounded people as a result.
We look forward to a very busy term!
Have a great week!
