Dear students, staff, parents, alumni and the whole Sekolah Ciputra community,
Sincere congratulations to the grade four team for their magnificent Kidpreneur fair. This was a wonderful showcase of their learning. The technical skills have been learned and provide a very strong foundation for the future success of these students. Entrepreneurial thinking is one of the highest-level skills as it is made up of so many sub-skills. Having an entrepreneurial mindset doesn’t just help build entrepreneurs, it helps build better functioning people. Anyone who attended the fair on Thursday would have been impressed by the enthusiasm, the sales pitches, the business plans and the way everyone has embraced entrepreneurship. Congratulations!
On Saturday we hosted the annual JISMO competition. We had over three hundred participants from schools all over Surabaya keen to compete and test their mathematics and science skills. Sekolah Ciputra hosts many such events on behalf of the community. Thank you to the organisers and supervisors and all the best of luck to the participants for their results.
On Monday morning our combined elementary and high school assembly celebrates bulan bahasa with a house competition where students will have a range of events to demonstrate their prowess in bahasa. It is a wonderful activity which adds variety to the house competition and closely supports the school vision of having pride in our cultural heritage. The early years will also have an assembly.
For the remainder of the week grade 10 students will have tester lessons in subjects that they have not taken before. This is to help them with subject selection so that they can gain some insight into the demands of each new subject. Finally, good luck to our team who are off to Singapore this week for THIMUN. We know you will make us proud.
Have a great week!
