News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

This past week, our school came alive with vibrant celebrations for Chinese New Year. The festivities included engaging in-class activities, lively assemblies for both elementary and high school students, and a colourful bazaar. These events were a wonderful collaboration between the continuum Mandarin Department, the Parent Support Group (PSG), and our student leadership groups. It was inspiring to see our community come together to honour this important cultural tradition, reflecting our commitment to embracing diversity and fostering international-mindedness.

Looking ahead, we have several key events on the horizon. On 1st February, our National Honours Society (NHS) chapter will host the much-anticipated NHS Colour Run. This event not only promises fun and fitness but also promotes health and community spirit, key aspects of our holistic approach to education.

Following that, the Ciputra Cup basketball tournament, organised by our student leadership group OSIS, will tip off on 3rd February. This tournament is a platform for teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship—values central to our mission and the IB learner profile. We encourage everyone to come and support our student-athletes and enjoy the competitive spirit on display.

Additionally, a reminder to Grade 12 students and parents: mock examinations will begin on 12th February. These exams are an essential part of preparing our students for their final IBDP assessments, helping them to refine their skills and build confidence. We wish our students the best in their preparations and encourage them to approach these exams with focus and resilience.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to making our school a place of learning and celebration. Your support ensures that Sekolah Ciputra remains a vibrant and inclusive environment where students thrive.

Have a great week!

Martin Blackburn
Executive Principal
