Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
Last Thursday, we celebrated one of the most significant milestones in the life of a school – the graduation of our Grade 12 cohort. It was a joyful and moving occasion, with students, families and staff gathering to recognise the achievements of our IBDP graduates. The event marked not only the end of a challenging academic journey, but also the beginning of new adventures and opportunities beyond school. The speeches, musical performances, and heartfelt farewells were a testament to the strong bonds our students have built here and the values they carry with them. We are extremely proud of this group of young people who truly embody the IB learner profile and the mission of Sekolah Ciputra—to be proud of our national identity, embrace cultural diversity and act with integrity and resilience.
Congratulations to OSIS for organizing a very successful Prom on Saturday night. It was a marvelous occasion.
This week, we will continue to mark important transitions within our community. On Wednesday, we will hold the Grade 6 completion ceremony as students prepare to enter the MYP, and on Thursday, the Grade 10 completion ceremony will celebrate students moving on to the DP. These events highlight the continuity and strength of the IB continuum at Sekolah Ciputra and the growing maturity of our learners.
Also on Thursday, our youngest students will take the stage in the Early Years production of Eddie the Penguin Saves the World. This charming performance is a wonderful celebration of creativity and a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility for the environment.
Reports will be issued Thursday afternoon, followed by parent-teacher interviews. These provide an important opportunity to reflect on the year’s progress and prepare for the next steps in learning.
As we come to the end of the academic year, I would like to sincerely thank all members of staff for their tireless commitment and professionalism. We extend particular appreciation to Ms Christine, our PYP Principal, who leaves after five years of outstanding service and leadership. She has made a lasting impact on our community and we wish her all the best for the next chapter of her journey.
We are also deeply grateful to the Board for their ongoing commitment to the school and the significant investments made into our facilities and future. Their vision and support help us continue to thrive.
Finally, thank you to all families for your trust, support and engagement throughout the year. Wishing you a restful, safe and happy holiday.
Have a great week and a safe and wonderful holiday! God bless you.
Martin Blackburn
Executive Principal
