News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

It has been a busy and positive week across the school. We were pleased to welcome many of you to the parent information sessions that have taken place across the continuum. These sessions provide a valuable opportunity for parents to meet teachers, ask questions, and gain a clearer understanding of classroom expectations. We thank you for your engagement and look forward to continuing these sessions next week.

Co-curricular life at school is also in full swing. Try-outs for both football and volleyball teams were held this week, with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship shown by all participants. It’s heartening to see students challenging themselves and supporting one another as they pursue their interests beyond the classroom.

We are also excited to announce that 21 of our high school students have chosen to attend the international camp in Vietnam at the end of the term. This promises to be a fantastic opportunity for intercultural learning, collaboration, and personal development—key aspects of our mission to nurture internationally minded learners.

In the classrooms, there has been a strong sense of purpose. Lessons have been calm, focused, and engaging, which reflects the efforts of both students and staff to foster positive learning environments.

Looking ahead, ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) bookings open this week, offering further opportunities for students to pursue a balanced school life. The second week of national examinations continues, and we offer our best wishes to all students sitting these assessments. Preparations are also underway for our Independence Day celebrations, including the Friday activities and Sunday morning’s flag ceremony.

As always, we are reminded of the importance of balance—a key element of the IB learner profile. A balanced student not only excels academically but also grows through sports, service, the arts, and quiet reflection. We encourage all students to make the most of the rich variety of experiences available to them, and to look after their well-being as they do so.

Have a great week!
