Dear Parents, Students, Teachers and Alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
Last week, we celebrated Indonesian Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Students took part in a wide variety of traditional games and house competitions, displaying teamwork, creativity and joy. The joy amongst staff, students and parents at the early years’ celebration was fabulous. Another highlight was the formal flag ceremony on Sunday morning, where our students demonstrated deep respect and pride in their national identity.
We were also thrilled to receive news that Shannon Melody Singopranoto has joined Justin Salvatore in achieving an IB Diploma score of 40. This is an exceptional achievement in a demanding programme. We are proud that at Sekolah Ciputra every single student sits the IB examinations — something few schools worldwide can claim. Our pass rate this year, measured by subjects sat to subjects passed, was 91%. For full Diploma students, our average score was well above the world average. These results have led to excellent university acceptances for our graduates.
This success is no accident. It reflects the dedication of our students, the clarity of our school systems, and the professionalism of our staff. In fact, in the last IBO cycle, 31 of our teachers have served the IBO or WASC as school visitors and/or trainers of educators in other schools around the world — evidence of the high level of expertise within our team. We also wish to recognise the four students who scored 39, just shy of the “magical” 40 mark, and whose achievement is commendable.
Next week, we look forward to two significant events. The induction ceremony for the National Honour Society will celebrate students who exemplify both academic excellence and service, qualities central to our mission and the IB Learner Profile. We will also welcome representatives from Ciputra University, offering scholarship opportunities and strengthening the pathways for our students’ continued success.
At Sekolah Ciputra, outstanding academic results are the product of a culture of high expectations, careful support, and a strong sense of purpose. Our vision to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people drives everything we do. We are proud to see our students achieve at such a high level while embodying the values that prepare them for a lifetime of success.
Have a great week!
