Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
Welcome back to Term 2! The new term is always a great opportunity to set clear goals and move forward with purpose. In line with the IB learner profile and our school values, we encourage all students to be reflective, principled, and balanced as they look ahead to the challenges and opportunities of the coming months.
The end of Term 1 was filled with wonderful achievements. Our camps for Grades 6–11 were extremely successful, giving students the chance to build resilience, independence and teamwork. The international camp to Vietnam was particularly memorable, broadening perspectives and enriching student learning. Grade 12 students used the camp period to focus diligently on their Internal Assessments and Extended Essays, important milestones in their IB Diploma journey.
Our Senior Boys Basketball team also deserves special recognition for advancing to the second round of the DBL competition with a convincing performance. With record participation in school sports, we are pleased to confirm that our sports programme will continue to expand this term, giving students even more opportunities to develop teamwork, commitment and school spirit.
At the end of last term, we were honoured by the visit of the IB Continuum team as part of our WASC/IBO reaccreditation and reauthorisation. Their report commended Sekolah Ciputra in the following way:
“Sekolah Ciputra is recognized for its strong academic outcomes and emphasis on entrepreneurship, reflecting the Ciputra Group’s core values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship (IPE). Alongside academic rigour, the school offers diverse opportunities in sports, arts, leadership, and service, fostering creativity, resilience, and social responsibility. Its team of qualified local and expatriate teachers actively engage in professional learning to remain aligned with international best practices and the IB philosophy. Graduates consistently achieve strong results and successfully pursue higher education worldwide, including admission to leading universities in Indonesia, China, and beyond. With a clear commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and student well-being, Sekolah Ciputra continues to expand its facilities and enhance learning opportunities while contributing leadership within the regional IB community. The sense of pride and belonging within the school community is evident, with students, parents, faculty, and the wider community actively supporting the mission and contributing to a vibrant and supportive educational environment.”
We are humbled by this feedback and grateful to all members of the community for their contributions. It serves as both recognition of what has been achieved and inspiration for what lies ahead.
Finally, a reminder that High School Term 1 reports will be released at the end of this week. These provide valuable insights into student progress and areas for growth. We encourage families to use them as a springboard for reflection and goal-setting as the term begins.
Have a great week!
Martin Blackburn
