Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
This week has been another outstanding example of what it means to be part of the Sekolah Ciputra learning community. At the heart of our celebrations is the tremendous success of the Senior Section of the Ciputra Cup, organised entirely by OSIS, with valued support from our dedicated staff volunteers. The event showcased impressive participation in both football and volleyball, but more importantly it demonstrated the qualities of the IB Learner Profile in action. Our OSIS leaders showed principled leadership, open-minded collaboration, excellent communication, and balanced organisation, all while creating a joyful, well-run sporting event that brought our community together. Their initiative and professionalism exemplify our mission to develop confident, entrepreneurial and globally minded young people.
Speaking of the learner profile, the EYP and PYP had a very successful spirit week where the themes for each day were based on two learner profile attributes. It was lovely to see the creativity of the students as they explored the profile and had a lot of fun at the same time!
This week also marks the beginning of Grade 10 and 11 Semester Examinations. We wish all students the very best as they demonstrate their learning with commitment and integrity. We encourage them to approach assessments with balance, preparation and resilience — key qualities that support success both inside and outside the classroom.
Linked closely to academic success is our strong University Counselling Programme, which continues to be one of the great strengths of Sekolah Ciputra. Our students gain acceptance to leading universities in Indonesia and around the world, supported by an experienced counselling team and by the many memoranda of understanding we hold with prestigious institutions. These partnerships open doors, expand pathways and give our students access to scholarships, early admissions opportunities and specialised academic programmes. This reflects our vision of preparing graduates who are ready to thrive in an ever-changing global environment.
We are also extremely proud of our PYP robotics team, who achieved gold and silver in their first ever international competition. Their creativity, problem-solving and teamwork are wonderful examples of innovation in the early years and primary school, and we congratulate the students and coaches on this exceptional achievement.
Looking ahead, we are excited for our upcoming Continuum Celebration of Arts and Literacy, which will bring together students from across Early Years, PYP, MYP and DP. This event highlights the richness of expression, imagination and communication that lies at the heart of our mission and the IB philosophy.
Have a great week!
