STUCO’s Week of Giving: Spreading Joy and Support Across the Community

This past February, the PYP STUCO embarked on a mission to make a tangible difference in the lives of local children, culminating in a series of heartwarming visits and impactful donations.

A Visit of Warmth and Connection at Panti Asuhan St. Yakobus

On Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, STUCO members brought smiles and cheer to the children of Panti Asuhan St. Yakobus in Manukan Lor. The visit was a touching experience, featuring a warm meet-and-greet, an inspiring speech, and the official presentation of collected donations. The genuine joy and gratitude radiating from the children served as a powerful reminder of how even small acts of kindness can create lasting positive change. This visit underscored the importance of compassion and the power of community support.

Empowering Learning at SD Baptis Immanuel

The following day, Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, STUCO continued its charitable efforts at SD Baptis Immanuel on HR Muhammad. Recognizing the school’s urgent need for physical education equipment and classroom fans, STUCO stepped in to provide vital resources. Termite damage had unfortunately destroyed the school’s sports equipment, hindering students’ opportunities for physical activity. During their visit, STUCO members not only delivered the much-needed items but also engaged in a fun, interactive game with the students, following a symbolic handover ceremony. The school expressed sincere appreciation for the support, highlighting the significant impact these donations would have on their students’ learning environment. Through this initiative, STUCO members gained valuable insights into the importance of giving back and fostering opportunities for others.

Looking Ahead: Community and Celebration

STUCO’s commitment to community engagement extends beyond these visits. As Ramadan approaches, STUCO is excited to announce a collaborative iftar initiative with Muslim students from PYP 4-6. This event will provide a wonderful opportunity for unity and shared support during the holy month.
