News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

What a vibrant and inspiring week it has been in the High School! The energy, creativity and enthusiasm of our students have been on full display throughout Spirit Week. Each day brought new personas, colourful costumes and a strong sense of belonging. Events like this remind us that learning is not only about academics but also about self-expression, confidence and community. You can see many of these wonderful moments on our Instagram page, including videos reflecting on the International Day of Failure — a timely reminder that resilience and reflection are key parts of personal growth.

We also held our Student-Led Conferences, which highlight one of the most powerful aspects of the IB learner profile — agency. By taking charge of their learning, articulating their goals and reflecting on their progress, students demonstrate ownership, responsibility and self-awareness. These are skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom and align perfectly with our mission to nurture lifelong learners who are principled, reflective and self-directed.

Adding to a week rich with activity, our High School Athletics Day brought together the community in a celebration of teamwork, participation and perseverance. Congratulations to all students who took part! Although our Senior Girls Basketball Team narrowly missed advancing in the DBL, they exemplified resilience and commitment, and we are immensely proud of their achievements over two strong seasons.

Our Parent Support Group (PSG) continues to strengthen our home-school partnership. Their recent Parent Empowerment Workshop and participation in the PYP Coffee Morning on the English Enrichment Programme demonstrated the ongoing commitment of our parent community to support learning at Sekolah Ciputra. We also extend a warm welcome to new families who joined us this week — our community continues to grow and flourish.

Looking ahead, next week we will host our University Fair, welcoming 74 national and international universities — an incredible opportunity for our students to explore future pathways. Grades 8 and 9 will undertake their PSAT examinations, and on Friday, we will celebrate Bulan Bahasa together.

As we reflect on this week, we are reminded that success is built on resilience, reflection and responsibility — the very qualities that define our learners and shape our school’s vision for the future.

Have a great week!
