News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

This past week we have been operating in hybrid mode. I am pleased to report that the vast majority of our students have continued to attend in person, demonstrating both their resilience and commitment. The speed and efficiency with which we have been able to move from fully online to hybrid has been a testament to the strength of our systems and the adaptability of our community. From Monday, we will return to fully face-to-face learning. This is particularly important for our senior students in Grades 11 and 12 as they continue their preparations for the IB Diploma examinations and their future pathways.

I would also like to acknowledge that some events were postponed during this time, including the senior boys’ basketball tip-off, the DBL cheerleading competition, and High School Spirit Week. All of these will be rescheduled so that students do not miss out on these valuable opportunities.

Looking ahead, next week brings PAIS testing in the High School and Elementary, which will provide valuable insights into student learning and programme development. In addition, our Junior Boys’ Soccer Team will travel to Bali to compete in the EAPISA international schools’ tournament. We wish them every success, both on and off the field, as they represent Sekolah Ciputra with skill and sportsmanship.

The following week marks an especially significant milestone for our school. We will welcome visitors from WASC and the IBO for our re-accreditation and re-authorisation process. This is a vital part of our journey as an IB continuum school and provides external validation of our mission to develop entrepreneurial, lifelong learners. The process is also an opportunity for us to reflect on our strengths and to identify areas where we can continue to grow. In doing so, we are reminded of the IB learner profile attribute of being Principled. We act with integrity and honesty, and we take responsibility for our actions and their consequences. This accreditation visit demonstrates our commitment to those values — ensuring that we hold ourselves accountable to high standards and remain true to our mission and vision.

Have a great week!
