Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
Last week provided an important opportunity for reflection and celebration as staff gathered for our continuum meeting. During this meeting we formally acknowledged the confirmation of our successful WASC accreditation and IBO reauthorisation for all three IB programmes. We also celebrated the outstanding A ratings awarded to our SMA, SMP and SD programmes by Diknas as part of the national accreditation process. These achievements reflect the dedication of our entire community and affirm the quality of learning taking place across the school. Importantly, the meeting also focused on the future, with representatives from each team outlining the next steps we will take as we use the feedback from these processes to continue driving school improvement.
Another highlight of the week was the MYP Personal Project Exhibition. It was deeply gratifying to see the level of student agency on display, with students confidently presenting projects that reflected their passions and interests. Many projects demonstrated impressive use of technology and computational thinking, showing how our students are applying modern tools creatively and responsibly. The exhibition once again reminded us that when students are given ownership of their learning, they can produce truly inspiring outcomes.
Across the Primary and Early Years, we also enjoyed very successful Student-Led Conferences. These sessions are always a wonderful moment in the school year, as students proudly showcase their learning to their parents. The enthusiasm, confidence and sense of ownership shown by our younger learners was remarkable, and the joy of sharing their progress was evident throughout the campus.
On Thursday evening, it was also lovely to see members of our school community come together for buka puasa, sharing a moment of reflection, fellowship and appreciation during this special time.
As we look ahead, we are reminded just how busy the coming weeks will be. This week we have two days of school before the Eid break, after which we will return for a very full and exciting final term. The weeks ahead will include examinations, final summative assessments, ten major sporting events and many important deadlines. It promises to be a dynamic and productive period for our students and staff.
We wish you a joyful and peaceful Eid holiday. If you are travelling, please travel safely. May this be a time of rest, gratitude and togetherness with family and friends.
Have a great week!
Martin Blackburn
Executive Principal
