Congratulations to Justin Winarta who will be studying Medicine at Universitas Indonesia (UI).
1. Which university will you continue your study at? Why did you apply to this University?
I will be studying Medicine (Kedokteran) in the International Program (KKI) at Universitas Indonesia. I applied to this university because of its history, culture, and prestige. The network of very respected alumnis impresses me too.
2. Can you please share your experience applying to Uni? How many other students apply to this university?
The experience was a very simple and straightforward process, it was a very nerve- wracking experience filled with anxiety. The way that the UI talent scouting program works is that schools in Indonesia get a certain quota of students eligible to apply. Sekolah Ciputra usually gets only one slot and thankfully, this year I got it. There were a total of 296 students across Indonesia applying through the talent scouting program, and only 24 got accepted.
3. What is the best thing about Sekolah Ciputra?
The environment. The learning experience. The friends and most teachers. The support for extracurricular activities and the culture of striving to be better.
4. What advice would you give to graduating students?
Keep your heads up, you’ve worked hard. Take a step back and be proud of what you’ve accomplished. Never forget where you come from and what you want to be. Let’s meet again at the top!
5. Tell us something memorable from your time at Sekolah Ciputra.
There have been too many to count but if I had to choose one it would be the Ciputra Cup. I have participated in this event from the 5th grade all the way to pre-covid in two different sports. Everything from the practices to the award ceremonies gave me precious memories of brotherhood, camaraderie, and sacrifice at the same time.
6. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy playing basketball and football. Sometimes I also like winding down and playing video games with friends and family. Lastly, eating good food with those I love is something that I cherish too.
