Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
This past week has been filled with colour, creativity and celebration across our school. We were thrilled by the high school production, Petualangan Sherina, which showcased not only the immense talent of our students but also their teamwork, commitment and passion for the performing arts. A huge thank you to the staff and families who supported this outstanding event.
We also marked Kartini Day with vibrant displays of Indonesian culture, student performances, and reflections on the legacy of R.A. Kartini. This involved the participation of parents, students and alumni. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of equality and courage—values at the heart of both our national identity and the IB mission.
The digital detox day saw much larger numbers of students involved in sports and cultural activities or just enjoying talking with each other. It was a vibrant and noisy day!
In the Primary School, our Grade 4 students enjoyed a fun and engaging on-campus camp, while our Grade 5 students ventured to Kaliandra for their own adventure-based learning experience. These camps are essential opportunities for students to build resilience, independence and social-emotional skills—key elements of the IB Learner Profile.
Looking ahead, we extend our best wishes to our Grade 12 students as they begin their DP examinations this week. They have worked with perseverance and focus, and we are confident that they will rise to the challenge.
We are also looking forward to the much-anticipated Ciputra’s Got Talent show—a chance to celebrate the diverse abilities of our learners in a joyful and inclusive environment. On Friday we have another of our very successful parenting seminars focussing on developing good communication skills.
The 4th of May is World Anti-Bullying Day. This is an important opportunity to reflect on the kind of community we want to be: respectful, inclusive and safe for all. As an IB World School, we strive to develop principled, caring and open-minded young people. By addressing bullying openly and empathetically, we equip our students with the skills and values to stand up for themselves and others.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership.
Have a great week!
