News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

It has been a wonderful start to the new academic year! The campus is once again full of energy, with students renewing friendships, making new connections and settling quickly into the rhythm of learning. It is particularly heartening to note that our student roll is the largest it has ever been. We are committed to ensuring that every student, new and returning, feels a valued part of the Sekolah Ciputra family.

We marked the start of the year with our first house event—an energetic and positive way to reinforce our sense of community and belonging. Our classrooms are already focused and purposeful, and students are engaging enthusiastically with their teachers and peers.

Our co-curricular programmes have launched with great momentum. Volleyball and football try-outs have begun, and our basketball teams are preparing for their DBL season. We are delighted to have record numbers of students signing up for school teams—an encouraging sign of both school spirit and student wellbeing.

Looking ahead, we are pleased to announce the first Parent Support Group (PSG) meeting of the year on Monday. This is a valuable opportunity for parents to become actively involved in school life. In addition, over the next two weeks, each grade level will hold an information afternoon. These sessions are designed to clarify expectations, build strong home-school partnerships and support student achievement.

At this early stage of the year, it is important that we begin with the end in mind. What does a successful year look like? Whether it’s academic progress, personal growth, sporting participation or community service, we encourage all members of our community to visualise their goals and take clear, intentional steps toward them. In line with our mission and the IB learner profile, we are cultivating lifelong learners who are principled, reflective and resilient.

Have a great week!
