“What I appreciate most about Sekolah Ciputra is how it develops students to be well-rounded individuals, not just academically strong.”
STEPHANIE THEODORA
GRADUATED: 2019
1. How long were you in Sekolah Ciputra? Starting from what grade until what grade?
6 years, from grade 7 – grade 12.
2. After graduating from Sekolah Ciputra, where do you study? What is your major?
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, double major in Finance and Information System.
3. What did you do after graduating from university?
I worked in Hong Kong for about a year in an expert network industry before returning to Indonesia to manage the family business.
4. What is your current occupation?
I work as a Director at PT. Kawitan Kian Perkasa.
5. In what way did Sekolah Ciputra contribute to your job right now?
Sekolah Ciputra helps set the groundwork for my role today. The combination of Business and Economics classes developed my understanding of marketing, finance, and analytical thinking. But beyond the learning materials, both the curriculum and extracurricular activities helped me develop my communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills – all of which have been essential in overseeing daily operations and leading my team.
6. What was the best thing about Sekolah Ciputra? Tell us something memorable from your time at Sekolah Ciputra
What I appreciate most about Sekolah Ciputra is how it develops students to be well-rounded individuals, not just academically strong. Where else would I have the chance to learn SketchUp, try playing the cello (even just at an introductory level), and create 3D wire art, all as part of class projects?
Still, my most memorable high school experiences came from extracurricular activities. The World Scholar’s Cup sharpened my ability to think on my feet and craft persuasive arguments under pressure, while school productions offered a different kind of challenge. The long hours of rehearsal and preparation, whether performing on stage or working behind the scenes, gave me a deep sense of satisfaction as I took on responsibilities I had never imagined myself capable of handling.
7. What advice would you give to a graduating student?
It’s okay if you don’t have your whole life figured out yet. I definitely didn’t, and honestly, I still don’t. I used to think I needed a fixed plan in life. But along the way, I discovered unexpected interests and stepped into fields I hadn’t imagined. Both ended up helping me build skills that continue to support me in my work today. So don’t be afraid if your plans keep changing. It doesn’t mean you’re lost, it means you’re learning.
8. Would you recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others? If yes, what would you say about it?
Yes, I would recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others. Sekolah Ciputra teaches students to think critically, be inquisitive, and communicate ideas clearly through research, analysis, and presentation tasks—skills that help ease the transition to university. Sekolah Ciputra also provides opportunities to explore different fields, from learning practical design tools like SketchUp to engaging in hands-on projects. This breadth of exposure helps students become more adaptable, open to new ideas, and confident in exploring a variety of opportunities.
9. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy movies and travel, and lately I’ve been getting into photo and video editing just for fun.
