Trash Bin Competition

In today’s world, the issue of waste, particularly paper and plastic, has become an urgent environmental challenge. As an eco school, Sekolah Ciputra is committed to nurturing environmental awareness and responsible waste management among its students. Supported by PT Terra Cycle Nusantara, this initiative aims to cultivate sustainable habits and creative thinking through an engaging, hands-on program.

We believe that building environmental consciousness should begin early. By encouraging young learners to view waste not as garbage but as a valuable resource that can be reduced, reused, and recycled, we empower them to become changemakers for a greener future.
To make it happen, we organized a creative competition inviting students to design innovative, functional, and eco-friendly trash bins or boxes. The designed product should use recyclable, and reused/repurposed materials. We did this competition successfully on Tuesday, 9 December 2025. Many students from lower and upper grades are really enthusiastic to participate in this competition. They came with creative and innovative trash bin designs. And on January 9th, 2026, we announced the winner who get certificate from PT Terra Cycle Nusantara, and prizes from the Parents Support group. The winning designs have been handed over to PT Terra Cycle Nusantara to be produced.

The winners from the lower grade category are:
1. Vivianne Louise Sugianto (2B) – Seraphine Alaia Rusli (2A)
2. Dominic George Bogdan (3D) – Philipp Leander Tjokrosetio (3D)
3. Rachel Godiva Sunur (3C) – Mary Angelette Phoebe Pranata (3B)

The winners from upper grade category are:
1. Chloe Erika Mintaryo (5B) – Adeline Chandra (5A)
2. Aimee Cherish Hartono (4C) – Rosie Wong (4C) – Sung Raim (4C)
3. Mikayla Kannaya Hendarto (5D) – Tiffany Cassandra Regis (5A)

Thank you young environmental heroes, PT Terra Cycle Nusantara, Parents Support Group, and Sekolah Ciputra, who made this event happen successfully.
